I thought the candy would look nice in one of my many baskets. The baskets are casually arranged, ok, messily tossed, on top of the refrigerator cabinet. I've been meaning to thin them out so now is a good time to do that chore. Out of 17 baskets I get rid of two (wow, so many?). Since I'm up there, I pull out the Dustbuster to clean the thick layer of dust, which ends up revealing the gunky stuff under the dust. A good scrubbing with liquid cleaner leaves the space squeaky clean. Lining the space with p
archment paper will make the next cleaning job much easier. All the baskets are back in their space except now they are nicely arranged.
Ok, am I finished? Of course not. At that level I can see the dirt and grime that is on top of the refrigerator. While cleaning that area I make a conscious effort to avoid looking at tops of the other cabinets. I do not want to spend the rest of my morning cleaning cabinet tops. I have other things I want to do today.
So now, back to the Halloween candy. I think I'll go dig out the ceramic pumpkin and use it again
this season.
It Started with Halloween - Part 2
OK! I pulled down the Fall bin, dug out the pumpkin, and brought it inside. Such a disappoint as I remember that I've been using it to hold a fall arrangement that I kept outside. It is very dirty and it is, after all, too small to hold candy. And just this moment I remembered that it was a plastic pumpkin bucket that I used for the candy.
Now you might ask, why did I not remember that from the prior year? Well, because we were on a cruise last Halloween! The cruise staff took care of all Halloween decorations.
Now where did I put that plastic bucket?
